Scope and Contents Note
This collection contains correspondence, programs, general documents, newsclippings, and photographs pertaining to the Little Rock Central High School Choir and the Little Rock Boys Club Choir.
Files 11 through 13 contain photographic images 1 through 31.
Historical Note
Ruth Josephine Klepper-Settle was born 1899 July 16 in Sumner, Missouri. She graduated from the William Woods Junior College, and studied at the University of Missouri and Columbian University. She earned her master's degree at Northwestern University in music education. In Little Rock she organized the first a capella choir in Arkansas and became supervisor of music in Little Rock public schools in 1945. She died in Little Rock, 1982 December 9.
