Biographical Note

Born in 1905, in Batesville, Arkansas, Edward Garbacz attended Arkansas College at Batesville and then the U. S. Military Academy. He completed his education at Little Rock College, majoring in pharmacy. During World War I, Garbacz served with the 154th Observation Squadron and taught aviation. He then went into pharmacy. Later he became a part-owner of Central Flying Service in Little Rock. He was married to Blanche Mary Hausen Garbacz, and they had three children.
