Biographical Note

During the 1920s, Dill Lincoln Philips, land commissioner for the Cairo and Fulton Railroad Company, set about to record the history of that line. He made typescript copies of a large number of public records, and he bound them in a leather binder -along with 28 photographs. The photographs are excellent and the better ones have been copied for the Butler Center photo collections.
