This collection contains biographical materials about Robert "Say" McIntosh and a number of his flyers.


Biographical Note

Robert "Say" McIntosh was born in 194,3 in Osceola, Mississippi County, the fifth child in a family of eleven. McIntosh grew up in Little Rock around the Granite Mountain area. He attended Horace Mann High School, dropping out in the 10th grade. After being employed at various restaurants around the city, McIntosh eventually opened his own restaurant becoming famous for his sweet potato pie. Well-known for his community efforts, McIntosh has been especially involved in helping underprivileged youths. Just as well-known for his activism, McIntosh places his multi-colored flyers on car windshields. These flyers, usually considered outrageous, highlight controversial, political topics.
