Biographical Note

The Wing Shot Club was a private club formed in August 1935, by a group of Central Arkansas business and professional men. Its purpose was to provide its members with a place for game hunting, primarily duck hunting. Membership in the club was to be limited to fifteen men. Land held by the club was on either side of the county line in Lonoke and Prairie counties. The Wing Shot Club was active from 1935 until at least the end of 1943. In 1958, an attempt was made by some members to reorganize and rehabilitate the club.
