Biographical Note

The author of this letter is believed to have been with a unit that fought in Northwest Arkansas in the Spring of 1862, and then moved east through Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas, stopping briefly at Pocahontas on the way to Jacksonport, Arkansas.
