Biographical Note

This collection is comprised of typed copies of documents pertaining to education in early Arkansas. The work was accomplished by D. L. Phillips in 1923. Of the four photographs included, three are outstanding quality images of early Little Rock schools. Though bound in book format, this is not a book, but rather, is a collection of transcribed documents. The collection was apparently compiled with the intention of donating it to the Little Rock Public Library (later named Central Arkansas Library System).
