This collection contains photographic prints and reproductions of Confederate soldiers taken during the Civil War period in Arkansas and other states, which were collected for the book,
Portraits of Conflict: A Photographic History of Arkansas in the Civil War, by Bobby Roberts and Carl Moneyhon (University of Arkansas Press, 1987). As such, they come from repositories around the country and permission to publish and reprint these images should be acquired from the appropriate source. The images that appeared in the book are noted, along with the page number.
