The collection also contains regional, national, and International Federation of University Women materials.

Historical Note

The first AAUW organizations in Arkansas were local branches at Fayetteville, Little Rock, and Hot Springs. In 1923, the Arkansas Division of AAUW held its first organized meeting incorporating the Little Rock, Hot Springs, and Fayetteville branches. Today, the American Association of University Women continues to accept graduates from approved colleges and universities, whose aim is to promote better educational opportunities and living standards for women.
