Scope and Contents
This collection contains two scrapbooks created by the Auxiliary of Rebsamen Memorial Hospital (now North Metro Medical Center) in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Historical Information
Rebsamen Memorial Hospital was established in Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas, in 1962. The Hospital Auxiliary was formed shortly after the hospital first opened to provide support to the professional medical staff and assistance to hospital patients and their families. The scrapbooks in this collection were created by auxiliary members and were entered in a contest conducted by the Arkansas Hospital Auxiliary Association (AHAA) at its annual meetings held in Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas, in 1978 and in 1983.
In January 2008, with major improvements being made to the facility, the name was changed to North Metro Medical Center.
