This collection contains documents related to the military service of William M. "Bill" Boone.


Biographical Information

William Maxwell "Bill" Boone was born on August 10, 1929, in Benton Arkansas, and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in August 1949 at the age of nineteen. He served approximately eighteen months during the Korean War as an aviation boatswain's mate airman aboard USS Valley Forge After the war, Boone returned to Arkansas. He worked for Reynolds Metal Company and Alcoa before retireing.
