This collection contains individual and family papers, political papers, business, government, and organizational records, subject files, and financial records from various individuals, institutions, and corporate bodies in Arkansas, with the bulk concerning Fort Smith, Little Rock, and Van Buren in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Also includes correspondence concerning the Civil War in Arkansas, judicial records documenting Isaac Charles Parker's tenure as federal judge in Fort Smith, and political campaign materials from candidates for local and state elections.
