The collection is a part of an ongoing Butler Center for Arkansas Studies project titled FORGOTTEN: The Arkansas Korean War Project. This initiative seeks to record the experiences of Arkansas's Korean War veterans through collection of documents, photographs, and oral history interviews.

This collection contains documents and photographs related to the military service of Paul F. Reagan.


Biographical Information

Paul Francis Reagan was born in McNeil, Arkansas, on January 3, 1921. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in August 1940 and served with the Coast Artillery Corps during World War II. He was on duty with the occupation army in Beppu, Japan, when North Korea invaded South Korea. Reagan served in Korea as a company commander of Company H, 19th Regiment, 24th Infantry Division beginning in 1950. He received the Silver Star for action near Anju, Korea, on November 5, 1950. Reagan remained in the Army and was promoted to Major in 1954. He died on March 20, 1979, and is buried in Calhoun County, Arkansas.
