Historical Information

Established in 1840, Perry County is located in central Arkansas and covers approximately 551 square miles. It is bordered on the east by the Fourche La Fave River. According to the U.S. census of 1950, the county population was 5,978 and in 1960 it was 4,927. The county seat is Perryville.
