Historical Information

Established in 1886, the Women's Educational Aid Society assisted women in obtaining an education. Among the charter members of the organization were some of Little Rock's most prominent women, including Dr. Ida Joe Brooks and the wife of Little Rock mayor John G. Fletcher.
