Biographical Information

William A. Cunningham was born to Andrew and Helen Cunningham about 1843, in Virginia, Illinois. He enlisted as a volunteer soldier with Company C, 3rd Illinois Cavalry on August 12, 1862. He held the rank of private and was approximately nineteen years old. William A. Cunningham died December 12, 1862, at Helena, Arkansas.
